Reading Wrap-Up Maker

List the books you read this year (or this month) with a star rating and a one-line review, and this makes a reading wrap-up card: how many books, a rating breakdown, books per month and your top 3 books of the year. Paste a list straight from your notes app, or import a Goodreads or StoryGraph export CSV. Cards come as an Instagram post (1080×1350px, 4:5) or story (1080×1920px, 9:16), and you can add your own photos of the covers for the top books. Free, no sign-up, and your list stays on this device.

How pasted lines are read

Paste one book per line and it is read like the table below. Split parts with /, | or a tab; the first part is always the title. Without separators only a rating or month at the very end is taken, so numbers inside titles like "1984" stay put.

FAQ

Can I paste my whole list at once?

Yes. Open "Paste a list" and paste one book per line. Split the parts with / like "Title / rating / month / review" and the tool finds the rating (4.5, ★★★★, 4.5/5) and the month (Mar, March, 2026-03-14) even if the order changes. Stars at the end of a line, like "The Night Library ★★★★", work too, and a line with just a title adds just the title. Up to 200 books per list.

Can I import my Goodreads or StoryGraph history?

Yes. Export your library from Goodreads (My Books, Import and export, Export library) or StoryGraph, then choose the CSV under "Import CSV". Books on your read shelf that you finished in the selected year come in with their title, your star rating and the month you read them. If a book has no read date, its date added is used. The file is read inside your browser and never uploaded.

How do I make a monthly wrap up?

Tap "Month wrap-up" and pick the month. The card shows only that month: your book of the month plus the rest of the list. Books you add in this mode are filed under that month, so switching back to "Year wrap-up" in December gives you the whole year without retyping anything.

How are the top 3 books chosen?

Books you mark with ♛ go in first (up to 3, in list order). Any empty spots are filled by your highest-rated books; ties and unrated books go in list order. The book of the month in a month wrap-up has its own ♛ (one per month), separate from your year's top 3.

Can I add my own cover photos? Are they uploaded?

Books in your top list get a "Cover photo" button. Pick a photo of the book (or any image you own) and it is cropped to fill the cover on the card. Photos stay in your browser, are never uploaded, and are not saved, so add them again after reloading. Without a photo the card draws a colored book with the title on it.

What size are the images?

The post is 1080×1350px (4:5), the tallest size Instagram shows without cropping. The story is 1080×1920px (9:16) with space at the top and bottom so the app's buttons do not cover your stats. On a phone, "Share" sends it straight to Instagram or messages, and "Copy as text" copies a month-by-month list for a blog post or caption.

How is this different from Goodreads Year in Books or Spotify-style wrapped apps?

Those only count books you logged in that app. This works from any list: library books, ebooks, audiobooks and things you never logged anywhere. It also lets you choose your own top 3 and write a one-line review for each.

Is my list saved?

Your books, name and color are saved in this browser (localStorage) so you can come back and keep adding. Nothing is sent to a server. Clearing site data or opening the page on another device starts fresh, so tap "Copy as text" now and then to keep a backup in your notes.
