First impression chart maker

Good to know

A first impression chart puts several people (or characters) side by side, each with two short lines: what you thought when you first met them and what you think now. This maker opens with a filled-in 4-card example, so you only change the names and lines, and you can go up to 8 cards. Add a photo from your phone or pick one of 7 animal face stickers, then save a 1080×1350 (feed) or 1080×1920 (story) PNG with both lines on every card. Share a link instead and your friends tap each card to flip it from "first impression" to "now". Photos never leave your browser.

First impression vs now ideas

The bigger the flip between the two lines, the funnier the card. Use these as they are or swap in your own details.

  3. 3

Choose feed (4:5) or story (9:16) and tap Save image to get one PNG with both lines on every card.

  4. 4

Tap Send link to share a chart your friends can flip card by card. They can edit it and send their own version back.

FAQ

What is a first impression chart?

It is a grid of people or characters where each card says what you first thought of them and what you think now. Friend groups, classmates, coworkers and fandoms post them because the gap between the two lines is the joke. Here you skip drawing the template: fill in the cards and the chart is done.

Where do my photos go?

Nowhere. Photos are resized and drawn inside your own browser and are never uploaded. That also means links do not carry photos: whoever opens your link sees the sticker you picked for that card. If you want people to see the photos, send the saved PNG.

What does my friend see when they open the link?

Your chart, showing the first impression side. Tapping a card flips it to the now side, and Flip all turns them over one after another. "Edit this chart" copies your cards into their own editor so they can rewrite the lines and send their version, and "Make my own" starts a fresh chart.

How many cards can I add, and what size is the image?

From 4 to 8 cards. The feed image is 1080×1350 px (4:5), which X and Instagram show without cropping: 4 cards sit in a 2×2 grid, 5 or 6 in 3 columns, 7 or 8 in 4 columns. The story image is 1080×1920 px (9:16) and always uses 2 columns.

How long can the lines be? Mine look cut off.

Names can be 12 characters and each line up to 40. On the image the text shrinks to fit the card and gets an ellipsis if it still does not fit. With 8 cards on a feed image the cards are narrow, so keep lines around 20 characters or switch to the story size.

Can I make one for my OCs or favorite characters?

Yes. Type the character name and add their picture as the photo. If the art is someone else's, follow the artist's rules for reposting and credit them in your post. Stickers alone also make a complete chart.

Is my chart saved?

Names, lines and sticker choices are kept in this browser so you can come back and keep editing. Photos are not kept, so add them again next time. Tap "Start over" under the chart to clear everything.

Can I remix a chart a friend sent me?

Open their link and tap "Edit this chart". You get their cards and lines in your editor; change what you like and tap Send link to create a new link for your version. Their original link stays the same.
